Perhaps, yes. Though I had a Smart Roadster at one point and never really struggled with being spotted, and that was pretty low to the ground.

I know what you mean about tiny-sports-car… but my problem is they're a death trap (from the perspective of other motorists not seeing you and driving their Range Rover over you)

Design-wise it's very similar to a concept they pushed out a few years back; can't remember the name, but it was prior to the “Sport” model I think. Not to say that's a bad thing; after all, it was a handsome concept, but IMO the Sport ended up being too similar to the normal Range Rover in its styling. If they can keep more to the concept this time around, I'd be happier (and I'm pretty sure that's all that the company strives for – my happiness).
