WordPress Help – custom search results

Hi there — if you’re a WordPress expert programmer, I’ve got some custom code I need created. Please send me an email with a quote — I’m ewan@ewan.net.

I need some custom code on the search.php template file to display search results like this:

- – - – -

Searching for ‘test’

Search found 54 results in the following categories:

Category 1: 34 results
Category 2: 12 results
Cateogry 3: 16 results

[ then the rest of the normal results you'd expect to see from the standard wordpress search ]

- – - – - -

The key point is I want people to be able to see what categories contain results first — then enable them to click on ’34 results’ to display the results found from Category 1.

Thanks!
Ewan

Ewan, I've written the code that you were asking for. If you're still interested (or if anyone else is for that matter), let me know.
