Hi, Just bought Gravity here and I didn't think it was painful to buy at all. I used paypal, clicked on the link in the email, entered my code and that was it . Nothing to it. However what I would like to see in Ovi is that you key in your IMEI code against your account and that is used when you purchase.
I would also like to say that the money for Gravity is worth every penny. I agree that the Apple App store can be cheaper but for some applications there isn't much in it.

+1 to support developers. Mobileways have always been amongst the smartest.

But I would also add that this pricing has generated huge PR for them.

Whether or not it's judged the 'right' price by clever pundits, and whether or not they'll lower it (and surely they will one day), they've generated so much publicity in a few short days that I imagine the volume makes them feel quite comfortable pushing the boundaries of price elasticity.

Not sure if it was deliberate - but you can't argue with the outcome. The only thing worse than being talked about is... etc etc.

It boils down to the sad state the world is in right now. Everyone wants the best of something, for nothing. I've been using Gravity for 2 days now. PHENOMENAL app! In fact, I was already a huge fan of their Wireless IRC app, so I really love these guys. If spending $10 on an app that (in my opinion) is worth $20 will get these guys on the OVI store and hopefully offer their products for even less, I'm all for spending the cash.
