MIR – a world of it's own
I met with Rimma Perelmuter and Stephen Jenkins at the Mobile Entertainment Forum this afternoon.
Rimma’s first language is Russian — and when we swapped cards (I handed over the obligatory over-sized Mobile Industry Review card) she said, “Oh nice name, MIR Show, I like it!”
I nodded. I like the name too.
“World,” she said, nodding.
I looked blank.
“MIR,” she said, “is ‘world’ in Russian. Good name.”
Ah hah.
Oh course. Space station MIR. The MIR programme. Well I never.
